Čo má obsahovať správny knižný bestseller?

Neviem, koľko potenciálnych grafomanov číta tento blog, ale pre tých všetkých ponúka recept na napísanie úspešného románu Steve Hely vo svojej celkom zábavnej knižke.

Výber z niekoľkých pravidiel:

Rule 2: Napíš populárnu knihu. Nemárni energiu na to, aby bola dobrá.
Rule 4: Musí tam byť vražda.
Rule 8: Román musí mať scény na diaľnici, akoby šoférovanie bolo poetické a magické.
Rule 9:  V hluchých miestach pridaj popisy chutných jedál .
Rule 10: Hlavný hrdina je zázračne oslobodený od svojho otrasného zamestnania.
Rule 12: Daj čitateľom lepšiu verziu ich samých.

Bookstores are filled, customers and employees alike, with people who hate their jobs.
Rule 11: Include scenes in as many reader-filled towns as possible.
Rule 12: Give readers versions of themselves, infused with extra awesomeness.
Rule 13: Target key demographics.
